The Year They Burned the Books

High school senior Jamie Crawford has achieved her goal of being named editor of the school paper. However, when she writes an editorial supporting the school's new health education classes, which includes the free distribution of condoms, she sets off a controversy that has far-reaching repercussions. To further complicate matters, the newest school board member has conservative opinions which include completely changing the health education curriculum high school health curriculum and banning certain books from the school library.
